There are several strains of this virus which infect other plants and shrubs, eg. Daphne oderata. Some weeds can act as a reservoir or alternate host, eg. Fat Hen. The leaves of infected plants become mottled then twist and curl, fruit may develop yellow skrunken areas. It is transmitted by aphids or by handling infected material.
There is no cure. Use "clean stock" and remove weeds. Aphid control is important.
